Unimolecular Electronics and Spintronics


We synthesize and use organic electroactive molecules and organic radicals as active components in molecular junctions. The aim is to understand the role of the molecular electronic and spin configuration in the transport properties with the ultimate goal to reach the maxima limits of miniaturization in electronic and spintronic devices. We perform studies in solution and with molecules integrated in molecular junctions, based on either self-assembled monolayers or single-molecules.
