Jornadas DVS/IGC en Madrid y Barcelona

IESMAT, S.A. en colaboración con Nanomol Technologies S.L., el Insitituto de Ciencias de Materiales de Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC), el centro de Investigación Biomédica en Red (CIBER) y Surface Measurements Systems (SMS) organiza una Jornada Científico-Teórico/Práctica sobre: Sorción Dinámica de Vapores (DVS - Dynamic Vapor Sorption) y caracterización de materiales (iCG-SEA Inverse Gas Chromatography/Surface Energy Analyzer) para el análisis de la sorción de agua y vapores orgánicos, y caracterización de materiales y superfícies.

U6 of Nanbiosis ICTS has been acknowledged for its participation in an article published by the Human Molecular Genetics Group of Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL)

NANBIOSIS ICTS coordination equipment has recently received from researchers of Human Molecular Genetics Group of Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL) a publication mentioning NANBIOSIS in the Acknowledgements for its participation in the results of its investigations. The article has been publish by the journal Human Reproduction of OXFORD UNIV PRESS  with Quartile 1/ Decile 1.

LYSOSOMAL DISORDERS, A FOCUS IN FABRY DISEASE

Genetic deficiencies of lysosomal components, most commonly enzymes, are known as "lysosomal storage disorders" (LSDs) and lead to lysosomal dysfunction, broadly affecting peripheral organs and the central nervous system, debilitating patients and frequently causing fatality. This seminar will update clinicians and researchers on most recent advances in diagnosis, pathophysiology and management of Fabry disease as well as in emerging therapies in the treatment of LSD.

Judith Guasch awarded with a Ramón y Cajal grant

Judith Guasch (left) holds a senior postdoctoral research position  at Nanomol group at ICMAB, after being awarded with a TecnioSpring fellowship  (Marie Curie Fellow, Cofund – Catalan Government and EU). Since 2017 she is also head of a Max Planck Partner Group (Dynamic Biomimetics for Cancer Immunotherapy) in collaboration with the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research (Heidelberg, Germany).

Nanomol researchers obtain funding from La Marató TV3 for a project on infectious diseases

Nanomol group has obtained funding from La Marató (TV3) for a project on infectious diseases. The project is entitled "Prevention of infections related to vascular catheters by means of the functionalization of catheters impregnated with thermally switchable hydrogels with broad spectrum antimicrobials (FUNCATH)" and is coordinated by the medical doctor Oriol Gasch from Parc Taulí. The contribution of the Nanomol group is lead by Dr. Imma Ratera.

Congratulations to Serena Maglioni on the obtainment of her PhD

Serena Maglione had the viva voce of her thesis "Preparation of electroactive self-assembled monolayers for the fabrication of advanced electronic devices" on Friday 27th April. The supervisors of her work were Concepció Rovira and Marta Mas-Torrent from the Nanomol group. The PhD examiners were Fabio Biscarini from Universitá di Modena e Reggio Emilia, Emilio Pérez from IMDEA Nanociencia and Arántzazu González from ICMAB. The Nanomol group congratulates her for the excellent work and wishes her all the best for the future.
