The award ceremony will take place at a special ceremony during the "IUPAC World Congress" that will be held in Istanbul from 11 to 16 August and will begin with the symposium titled "Women in Chemistry: Gaining Momentum".

Prof. Concepció Rovira has been awarded as one of the IUPAC 2013 Distinguished Women in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. The prize is awarded by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) among researchers nominated  by chemical societies. Prof. Concepció Rovira has been presented by the European Association for Chemical and Molecular Sciences (EuCheMS) at the request of the Catalan Society of Chemistry.
